The Braid

ok, so no, this post is not about hairstyles....but rather, a wonderful recipe. a friend of ours was so kind to have made this for us right after olivia was born and we loved it. so much so, that i have been thinking about it ever since, thus, deciding to make my own. i was not able to get in touch with her to get the recipe before the craving for it forced me to make my own version. i must say, it came close to the original, but not perfectly. This braid is the best comfort food....perfect to fill a man and rich enough to please girls as well (not really kid friendly, at least for mine, wink)....it is filled with chicken, potatoes, peas and a wonderful cream sauce...all stuffed into a croissant braid (hence, the name). it is not too hard to make and one could always add the ingredients they most love. easy to prepare, when kids are not pulling at your legs and worth all the effort. i must say, it is pretty enough to use for a dinner with friends! thanks heather for the inspiration!!!
