Proof Positive

right when we thought life was busy, but at a good pace, life throws us a curve....our crazy life is about to get a bit crazier!!! we found out that we are expecting our second baby and we are excited and happy......even when you think you are ready, it knocks you off your feet!! nathan and I are thrilled to have the chance to enjoy another child who we hope will bring as much joy and happiness to our family as our littleman has!! we are very blessed and look forward to these next few months

the peanut and 8weeks and 3days

trolley adventure

tuesday we had our very first trolley aka bus adventure.....on a play date twist, jackson, kirby noah & jude ( and moms of course) took the old time trolley for a ride to the jacksonville landing.....the kids were all a tad bit nervous on the way there as they were not sure what they were in for....but soon got very excited
we walked around and then hit the water fountain.....everyone thought the water was super cool and kirby was the first wild man in, followed by noah....jackson on the other hand was happy enjoying from afar.....who knew, he is usually a water bug.......we followed up with a quick picnic and the very cool ride home.....it was a great new experience and a good change from the park!!!

Big Bang 4th

It was a happy and fun filled fourth of july at the smith house.......mommy, daddy and jackson took the boat in the river to enjoy the first really sunny day in a week!! jackson of course loved this because as most everyone knows....cooper instilled a special love for boating in littleman's heart....we then lunched at home and took a rest before the afternoon and evening fun resumed.
we enjoyed a family barbecue at kiki and waynedaddy's house...the usual 4th fun.....burgers, beer, and some fireworks to get the night rolling
we then ended the day with the annual fireworks show at the florida yacht club....jackson barely made it there to see the big lights in the sky because he is usually fast asleep hours before, but he made it and did like to see all the colors....all in all, it was a great family day
we hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as us!!! Happy 4th

beach buddies

Last week we were lucky enough to share a beach play date with our friends, the mcdonalds......the boys had the best time running, splashing and hunting for fishies in the ocean water.......the weather was perfect and we got there just when the tide was low so there were the best little waterholes to play in.......thank you sherry, ben, noah and jude for a wonderful play date and the yummy lunch!!!!

in the words of a great comedian, "you might be a redneck if your idea of a great friday night is watching your two year old get in a food fight with his yogurt cup"....yes, that is what nathan and i have found humor and fun in lately......gosh, life is good!! thanks littleman for the laughs...xoxo

Big Boy Haircut

Last weekend we finally took littleman for his first ever professional haircut.......for the last two years i have managed to let the mom-cuts do, but jackson's hair finally got to the point of needing a real shape........so off we took him to the children's only hair shop in julington creek....this place is completely set up to keep kids attention off what is really happening....tv's, toys and lots of cool noise......jackson especially loved being able to be the pilot of the airplane ride-on; without that he may not have had ears by the time we left........it was quick and painless, at least for jackson, for mom on the other hand.....it was heartbreaking. we went into the shop with a baby and came out with a "little man".....lets just say mom misses the locks

i simply could not resist sharing this pic after seeing it.......nathan would kill me, but i knew it would give everyone a laugh....this is what jackson loves to do while i try to straighten up the house in the morning....what is funnier though is nathan believed that by having a boy, my own shoe addiction would not be shared, sorry nate...looks like he does take after mom, hehe!!!

we have had a fun week full of celebrations........on thursday jackson helped his friend ann lowery celebrate her 2nd birthday....we had so much fun seeing everyone that we do not get to chat with often enough and the water toys helped ease the heat!!! jordan- you rock with the frozen washcloths, that saved the mommies and daddies....

and then on friday the celebration festivities continued with jackson's friend reese's 2nd birthday....jackson could not wait for this party; it was held at his fav park and all he said that day was "go to pok....say "happy to you reesey"".....we could not get there to party soon enough. daddy would have been proud too, jackson ws Mr. hospitality handing beers from the cooler to all of the adults...needless to say he had fun and gave everyone a few laughs.

"Happy to you" to all of our little friends....may this year bring even more fun, smiles, laughter and as many wonderful memories!!!!!!!

swim lessons

we started our first week of swim lessons, and so far, they have gone much better than we had anticipated.......on day one jackson screamed the entire session but somehow managed to do everything that the instructor asked him...and after that exhausting 30minutes, i thought that we made a big mistake, but on the next several lessons, littleman has made big strides and no longer cries at all.....he is super excited to do his"pool time" with ms.colleen and the only thing we have to work on is paying attention to the water and not the "big tactors" in the yard next door!!!!
ms.colleen even invented a new jump dive for jackson, since he likes the machines so much as opposed to batman, spiderman jump....it is called the tractor pull dive and it is quite funny to see. Thank you to leslie and Mrs. Clemmons for including us in this fun swim experience and for offering your pool to us!!!
